Cinco de Mayo - Feeling Mexy!

Much like St. Paddy’s Day makes everyone Irish, Cinco de Mayo is the one day each year where everyone lets their Inner Mexican out to play! And Ashland has a perfect lineup of venues for you to nosh and sip through :-)
Plancha
165 East Main – (541) 708-0883
New in 2017, a tasty spot to grab your Mexi-cuisine. Try the goat. And the Pescado Frito. And get an ear of Elotes. Oh, and the Guacamole! This truly is a 'try one of everything' spot. And check it out: THEY DELIVER (Ashland only). :-)
Agave
5 Granite Street – (541) 488-1770 - Agavetaco.net
For years our favourite taco stand, they’ve recently moved into fancier, more spacious digs – but the handmade tortillas, lobster tacos and freshly-squeezed key lime margaritas are just as tasty as ever. Their food has always been a treat; being able to find a table at which to enjoy it is now an added plus! Also to try: their famous guacamole plate and winter squash & portabella mushroom tamales!

Taquaria Picaro
76 N. Pioneer – (541) 708-6565
Ashland’s newest latino offering – already beloved by locals for their relatively cheap eats, GMO-free corn products and extensive tequila library. Definite neighborhood-y vibe.

Other places to get your mex on:
El Tapatio
1633 Hwy 99 – (541) 488-2276
Local institution since the beginning of time, just outside the City limits (to the north).
El Paraiso
545 Clover Lane – (541) 488-5877
South end of town, convenient to the Hotels there. Large portions – one combination plate is big enough to feed a small family. To try: the Seafood burrito and the Chile Relleno Burrito.
La Casa Del Pueblo
1209 Siskiyou Blvd (across from SOU) – (541) – 482-5092
The food at LCDP is tasty, their service is snappy, and their margaritas are damned near lethal.
Senior Sams
1634 Ashland Street– (541) 488-1262
Huge, tasty Mission-style burritos; easy on the wallet.
Big Als
474 N. Main – (541) 482-6481
Yes, the burger and shake shack. But have you noticed that half of their menu is Mexican? Thank owner Arturo for his family recipe offerings. :-)
