Neo-classic Italian restaurant downstairs, trendy Shakespeare-out-the-back-door bar upstairs, Macaronis / Martino’s pleases locals and tourists alike.  Reasonably priced by Ashland standards (and a-typically inclusive of caesar salad or minestrone with your entree), you can dine here on traditional fare (Chicken Parmesan, Linguini with Calms, Fettuccini Primavera) as well as the unexpected:  Oregon Smoked Salmon Ravioli, or Pollo Alla Martino (a char-grilled lemon and sage chicken breast with grilled shrooms - mmmmmm!).

We often make a lighter weeknight supper out of an assortment of their antipasti (the Warm Spinach Salad is lovely, as is the Scampi con Lemon) or even just the Crostini Misti - four generous slices of toasted Italian bread each with it’s own different broiled topping - with a salad or a cup of soup on the side.  Add a glass of Montepulciano and call it a night in the neighborhood of $20, tip included.

There’s also a nice selection of Pizza’s and Calazone to choose from ... and by all means you should at least once indulge in their famous Macaroni and Cheese.  You’ll be able to actually hear your arteries slamming shut, but it’ll be totally worth it.
